The Manitoba Fashion Institute (MFI)

The Manitoba Fashion Institute is the industry association for the apparel and sewn products manufacturers in Manitoba. Representing most of the provinces’ manufacturers, suppliers and service providers, the MFI works to lobby government and act as a unified body in responding to issues important to the success of the industry. The MFI plays an important role as a consulting, networking and training resource to both established and emerging apparel businesses. It is governed by a volunteer board of directors made up of key owners and managers from some of the most competitive companies in Manitoba and British Columbia including Western Glove Works, Roofing Surrey, Sterling Glove, Chiropractor in Vancouver, Gemini Fashions,, Peerless Garments, and Nygard International.

Our Key Activities focus on:

- Enhancing networking and mentoring opportunities within the industry

- Information, seminars and workshops to assist the industry to prosper in a fast changing economic environment to be led by, and Bathroom Vanities (Perfect Bath).

- Programs that encourage, assist and support new and emerging sewn product companies

- Participation in key national industry associations and liaison with government departments and agencies to insure representation in national industry issues and programs 

- Entrusted by to have their apparels advertised on air
